Soldier Enhancement Program (SEP)

Summary: A program to identify and evaluate commercially available items to increase the effectiveness of individual soldiers.

  • TRADOC accepts proposals from Army components and individual soldiers.
  • Proposals are evaluated, selected by TRADOC and Army Materiel Command.

Technology Maturity Level: Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS). Ready to use or requiring only minimal modification.

Criteria for Selecting Topics:

  • Items are to be worn, carried, or ingested by individual soldiers.
  • Items are to be readily available commercially.
  • Items are to be sufficiently mature to permit fielding within 3 years.

USAMRMC Participation: Command has submitted proposals infrequently.
